Over two hundred residents of Ziope and its surrounding areas have recently undergone training in pastry and soap making, courtesy of Good News Theological Seminary, an institution dedicated to Christ-centered and Biblical teachings. During the six-day training held at Logonkor near Ziope in the Agortime-Ziope District of the Volta Region, participants were equipped with the skills to make cakes, bread, biscuits, meat pies, as well as both liquid and hard soap.Good News Theological Seminary Empowers Ziope Residents with Pastry and Soap Making Skills
Speaking to the beneficiaries, Mrs. Anne Ladji-Camarovy, the West African representative of Good News Theological Seminary, emphasized the importance of applying the knowledge gained to achieve tangible results and encouraged them to utilize their newfound skills to benefit others in their communities.
Rev. Helena Mananu-Hooper, Coordinator for the Seminary's Extension Programme, Skills Development Programme, and Leadership School, highlighted the aim of the training to empower participants to become economically self-reliant. She urged them to not only apply the skills learned but also to share their knowledge with others in their communities.
Mr. James Papa Akoeshihu, the Local Coordinator for Skills Development in the Volta Region, expressed gratitude to Good News Theological Seminary for establishing the Skills Development and Leadership School in the region. He emphasized the transformative impact such training can have on individuals and communities.
One beneficiary, Miss Joyce Avume from the Yevi community, lauded the Seminary for the skill training and pledged to utilize the knowledge acquired for personal and community development.
